BUSY WEEKENDS!

Roger and went to Louisville Kentucky last weekend.  It was a quick in and out--but we had never been there.  We got in late Friday night and left right after the seminar on Saturday.  Our big splurge was Burger King--basically because we were so tired and it was close.  Not very exciting.

This weekend we are headed back down to Long beach.  Roger has a seminar in Riverside and we had some free Marriott nights that were going to expire so we though we would take Sydney and go down for a few days.  We love the Long Beach Marriott and it is only 3 miles from Jodi's new house.  More Alley shopping and warm weather.  Sydney almost had us talked into going to Disneyland (which we were not going to do this year!) until I remembered that is was President's weekend and I have done that before.  That is the 2nd busiest time at Disneyland--NO THANKYOU!

Next week is our Southern Caribbean Cruise--and guess what?  The price went down just yesterday.  I called Carnival and now we have $100 of on board credit!  Perfect!  Zip line here we come!  I will post pictures and our excursions in a few weeks.  Except for St Thomas, these are all new islands to us!

Our girls weekend was perfect!  A great get-away for us busy girls!  We landed in LAX and my sister Jodi picked us up.  She was moving that weekend so she didn't have much time to spend with us.  After we arrived at her house in Redondo Beach, we grabbed a bit to eat a Chili's and we were on our way to the Marriott in Long Beach.  It was a beautiful hotel--indoor and outdoor pool, hot tub and palm trees (I miss those).  We spent a little time in the hot tub and finally crashed.

Saturday and Sunday we spent riding around at the beach with the top down (Jodi let us take her convertible), walking down the beach feeling the warmth of the sand and the freezing cold water, getting pedicures, ridding beach cruisers to the Queen Mary (we didn't tour it since we will be on a cruise ship in a few weeks--we already knew what they looked like) shopping down at the Alley in downtown LA and introducing Heather to LA hotdogs!  (YUM).  We tried a sushi bar and an Italian Restaurant which were both delicious!

Monday morning we got up early to catch our flight back to reality--well for a few more weeks when we get to sail out of Puerto Rico on our Southern Caribbean cruise.
